First of all, having back problems is the worst! I spent last week on the couch with lots of drugs and little movement.

The nice thing about all of this is when I can use the sympathy excuse for something I want.... like a dog. In other words, my husband really really loves me.

I've been looking on ksl for a while and found this beautiful border collie from a guy getting ready to go on his mission. So I checked out a book on border collies from the library and tried to learn everything I could. Eric and I picked up Scout on Saturday (after much convincing).

She is amazing! Best dog ever. She only ever barks when seeing Eric first thing in the morning (he hadn't showered yet) and is seriously the best fetch player ever. We had a barbecue with our families that night and played with her all night. Yes, my back is definitely feeling it today.
