The other day I read my friend's blog and she talked about making the new year's resolution one word. At first, I was thinking there was no way I could ever do that. I make lists and lists of goals constantly. I have a notebook in my purse for constantly writing my goals down and everyday is crammed. How could I possibly come up with one word for the whole year?
Well that pretty much made the decision for me. My 2014 goal of the year? SIMPLIFY.
I'm pretty good at complicating my life, drowning my time in stress over things I can't fit in, and trying to multitask at everything I do. I make goals like crazy and that only makes the rest of me go crazy, so I'm going to focus on the most important things. And I'm going to focus on one thing at a time. And if something doesn't lead up to me becoming a more happy person, then I'm going to replace it with something better.
With that, I'm saying good bye to 2013. Good riddance, too, because this year is going to be awesome and I'm finally ready to say hello to 2014. Let's make this happen.
