1st week

This was my first week at my internship with the LDS church. I have the great opportunity to work with the interior design department for existing temples and temple president homes. I have loved it! I've been able to help with project binders, attend vendor meetings, pick out fabrics, call vendors, do some plans on AutoCAD and lots more. It has been a blast! But along with great opportunities, I have had my fair share of embarrassing moments...

Just today, I got on the elevator after work to go down to the main floor, but it stopped at the third so a older man got on and I walked off absentmindedly. I realized my mistake pretty quickly... but played it cool and figured i would just wait for the next elevator when i hear the guy who just got on, "you meant to get off on the main floor, didn't you?"

how did he know???

so i'm pretty embarrassed and sheepishly get back on the elevator. but it doesn't stop, "you were going to try to play it cool and hope i didn't notice weren't you?"

he completely nailed me! yep. talk about acting like a new girl.

don't worry. i'm getting better. i don't even get lost in the conference center parking lot anymore!

anyway, it has been an amazing experience so far and I'm excited for 5 more weeks of everything! The only thing that could possibly make it better is this:

  1. Seriously! How did he know? That's really weird. I've done that same thing before, and played it cool, like I totally meant to get off on the second floor instead of the first floor, but I've never been called out on it!
Also, that Hawaii chair is one of the funniest things I have ever seen! I was busting a gut the moment Ellen sat down on that thing! I might have to watch that again...
