"Hey is this Kendra?"
"yes, it is."
"Hi! I'm so and so from so and so and I want to be your DJ for your wedding! Have you ever thought about having a DJ?"
now because i'm curious and ready for some amusement as to what this guy has to say, I say, "sure, I've thought about a DJ"
"Great! Now what is your man's name?"
"Eric" (Eric is standing in the other room talking to my mom, suddenly he wants to know what is going on.)
"What's his last name?"
"Mills" i hear evil thoughts coming my way from the other room.
"Great! Well, just imagine if you would, you and Eric come out into the reception hall and I say, 'LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! GIVE IT UP FOR ERIC AND KENDRA MILLS!' just like you would yell at an introduction to a basketball game." at this point i am holding the phone a foot away from my ear.
"wow, that sounds perfect!"
"yes! now just imagine that later in the night, we have all of the groomsmen step outside with me and they come in later all dressed up like the village people and dance for you two!"
"oh my gosh a dream come true!"
apparently, he already tentatively reserved us.....
i think i may have crushed someone's soul...
It's for that very reason that I have an alternate Google Voice phone number. Anytime I go someplace or fill something out that requires a phone number, and I don't know what they are going to do with it, I put down my Google Voice number. That way if I get unwanted phone calls, I know where it is coming from and I can block them if necessary.
