teen series

so this summer i want to read about a million books.
then when i read a book i will get on here and pretend my opinion matters and tell the world what i think.
and you, the reader, will pretend my opinion is all that matters.
good? good.

so here are some teen series and what i think of them:

Harry Potter - JK Rowling
7 books...7 wonders of the world. ok not really, but pretty close. i can say that i started reading these before they became big. i would make guesses of what would happen in the next book and do all the research i could on what was going to happen. i would go to all the midnight parties and read them over and over again. i had once thought that when my kids were to read them i'd force a few months in between books so they would have to go through the whole anticipation period like i did. (ha, yeah right) yep harry potter is great. but i'm not really a huge fan of the movies.


Fablehaven - Brandon Mull
this series just finished. i loved these books and i think they got better with each one. the first one was a little hard to get through but once you get into the second one you're snatched. i also like how one of the main characters shares my first name, that's always a win. the only downside was that i never felt worried about the characters or too much on the edge of my seat. the solution was almost too much in sight. but definitely recommended.

Twilight - Stephenie Meyers
Ok yes yes this gets all the hype in the world and i'm not going to lie, i was definitely sucked into it... at first. but i think she should have stopped after the 3rd one. that 4th one ruined them. completely. RIDICULOUS. so now i'll never read them again. i'll always scoff at them and only watch the movies once for comedy sake. yep, ruined. and she won't stop writing them or adding to them until the fans stop going crazy. so stop going crazy!

Percy Jackson - Rick Riordan
So good!! Seriously, winner right here! i haven't seen the movie so i can't compare but the books are great. greek mythology gone modern. funny, easy read and really witty. i loved these and plan on reading them again. amazing.

Eragon - Christopher Paolini
i'm still reading the first one. so really i shouldn't even give a review for it. but it is taking me a long time to get through it. i'm not completely into it. but i've heard it gets better as you get more into the series. plus my brother loves it. so you may be hearing more about this one later.

Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
love these! very different perspective from the norm and very addicting. the books leave you hanging and i am dying to read the third one that comes out in august! really, this is probably one of my favorites.

so there ya go. i would say my favorites are the moment are hunger games and percy jackson. definitely read them!
