yesterday was a fantastic day.
first of all, eric and i saw Joseph at Hale Centre Theatre! we loved it. including eric who had never even heard the music before yesterday. (gasp!)
we especially loved our new friend sitting next to eric, an elderly lady who came a second time to see the buff guards. (ok and for the whole show, because really, it's that good.)
afterwards, eric had to work. pretty sad that he had to work over the weekend. but it worked out since i had plans to see the relief society broadcast.
before the broadcast, i wanted to do some quick grocery shopping so i could make an amazing sunday meal for my hubby. i didn't have a lot of time, so it was kind of a mad scavenger hunt in the grocery store as i ran up and down isles throwing things in my cart. included in that throwing of things was a pork roast.
then i realized i had to go to the bathroom so i hurried even faster.
i checked out my food, drove home, ran into the house, threw half the groceries on the floor and made it to the toilet just in time.
but because of my mad dash i couldn't find my keys to get the rest of the groceries out of the car. so i ran around the house, found the spare set, and then found my original set in the door of our apartment.
so by this point i need to book it so i could meet up with my mom and go to the broadcast.
i threw everything that needs to be refrigerated in the fridge and left the rest all over the kitchen.
i make it to the broadcast and really really loved the meeting. it was so good! i was spiritually uplifted and happy plus i got to see my friend and her new baby! also i think my mom has called it, President Uchtdorf's talk is totally going to be made into a book. it's just that good.
my night was so happy and spiritual, going to dinner with my mom, and talking with my family until i realized i couldn't remember putting the pork roast in the fridge. could it possibly be just sitting out in my apartment??
i hurried to fill up my car with gas before it died, barely made it to the smith's toilet on the way home again, and ran in my house, only to not find the nasty smell of dying roast or see it anywhere!
so i called the grocery store. at midnight.
"hi.. i'm missing a pork roast."
"what?"
"i bought a pork roast at the store around 5. but it never made it to my house."
i'm sure they were thinking, and you're reporting this 7 hours later?? after being put on hold and listening to some fantastic screechy music, they let me know i can come in on monday with my receipt and get this figured out.
i hope that means that i get a new roast or my money back. i don't know if i want them to find the missing one. but hey, if you find a pork roast lying around, let me know.
