April 11, 1954- the most boring day in history

today we need to celebrate the most boring day in history (back in 1954).

yep, on ksl, it's officially mentioned this was the most boring day in history. what happened exactly?

1. the newspaper didn't go out on time.

2. there was a fire but the firemen saved 1,000 baby chicks.

3. Walt Disney's "Living Desert" set a new continuous record for longest run time of nine weeks.

4. The Salt Lake Bees, then a farm club for the Phillies in the Pioneer League, were rained out.

5. A Florida beauty queen refused to come down from a 30 foot pole.

6. A two-headed baby in Indiana was recovering from pneuomonia.

Now if this was the most boring day in history, I'm feeling most of my days must be beyond boring if it doesn't involve a two headed baby...

How shall we celebrate this momentous holiday of boredom???

P.S. 2 months to go!
