i've been slacking on the design fridays! i'm sorry. and here i am trying to redeem myself on a saturday! so ridiculous.


This first one is a childhood inspired residence by LEVEL architects called the Slide.

You can see a cool ball room in the background of this one. The one below is a 3d drawing of what it looks like. it's very contemporary and clean but fun for children! i don't know about you, but i always dreamed of having a slide in my house.




this is the Hug Chair designed by Ilian Milinov, also known as "the chair for clingy lovers." this is for those girls who love to sit on the guy's lap and for guy's legs who are weak like playdoh. clever! also can be used as a desk.



here is the alemanys five by by anna noguera. it was a sixteenth century house made into two contemporary apartments. i don't always like when they take away the old classic looks of the century but this is a beautiful contemporary apartment.

now for some bridges. these are amazing:


this one is the hoover bridge redesigned by Designer Yheu-Shen Chua. isn't that amazing? although it would definitely be controversial if this ever came to be...



Designed by Ja Studio for Florence Italy is this concept. A city on a bridge! Ok really this would be terrifying but very cool. It is meant to leave very little impact on the surrounding landscape.


Wind Tunnel Bridge by Michael Jantzen. What a cool idea to harvest energy from the wind through a bridge!

Laurens van Wieringen from the Netherlands designed this new fruit bowl, called Fruit Boom. This design is all about bringing back the origin. Love it.



Here is the AK47 fire pit. I like this because you know exactly where to get that wood for your fire. There are a lot more fire pit ideas here.



New York Residence by Mesh Architectures. This is the home of the former Blues Clues host Steve Burns. He wanted to live in an open space where he could enjoy his love for music.
